Project Brief:

Nasna set out to create a pioneering Sudanese digital media platform, offering a unique Video-On-Demand (VOD) experience. The platform’s core mission is to provide rich social, cultural, and entertainment content that deeply reflects the diverse fabric of Sudanese society and actively enhances Sudanese identity. My role involved leading the UI/UX design to build an intuitive and immersive platform that truly celebrates Sudanese heritage and aspirations through original and diverse productions, including series, cultural programs, and more.

Design Challenges:

• Optimizing Onboarding & Job Alert Setup: Ensuring a seamless first-time user experience for alert

  Reflecting Authentic Sudanese Diversity: Designing an experience that genuinely represents the rich cultural tapestry and regional nuances of Sudan within the content presentation.

• Optimizing Culturally Relevant Content Discoverability: Ensuring users can easily find and engage with series, programs, and productions that resonate with specific social and cultural interests.

• Fostering Community & Identity Enhancement: Creating features that encourage discussion, sharing, and a sense of belonging around shared cultural narratives.

• Ensuring Seamless Streaming & Accessibility: Delivering a high-quality video playback experience optimized for diverse network conditions across Sudan.

• Balancing Content Curation & User Exploration: Strategically presenting original content while empowering users to explore the platform's diverse offerings on their own terms.
